Welcome! And thanks for stopping by! My name is Maddy and I originally created this blog to track my progress as I trained for the Chicago Half Marathon in September 2011 and tried to raise $1000 for the Children’s Cancer Association. Both were a great success! I ran my second half with Team in Training and raised $1500 for the fight to find a cure for blood cancers. My biggest running triumph was the Portland Marathon in October 2012 with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and raising another $1500. Then I busted my Lisfranc ligament, went to nursing school, had a screw put in my foot, and didn’t post anything for a year and a half (in that order). I have no idea where this blog is going now, but hold on tight, it will probably be a wild ride.

  1. Maddy, I’d love to feature you on agoodrun.com. Check it out, specifically the Join Us tab at the top and let me know if you might have interest. In a nutshell, I feature a runner each week who goes on “a good run”, captures it via pictures, thanks people along the way with signs and runs for a cause.
